  1. Great!

Posted by Katherine in Minnesota on 15th Jul 2017

The format in which it is written in is easy for kids and adults to read. The illustrations are detailed, and the overall quality of the book is outstanding. The four different levels get more difficult, with a test at the end of each level for comprehension. The levels flow together seamlessly and has a wide variety of skills you can learn. I flicked through the book at a barn and was amazed at the quality of the book. I only saw about 20 pages and am blown away! I recommend this book to horse enthusiasts and people who want to get into the horse business or teach horseback riding. Simply amazing!

This book is absolutely amazing I am just a riding student but I am hoping to someday be a instructor my cousin gave me the book and it is not in the best conditions and I was looking to get a new one but the price is unbelievably expensive

  3. The best manual of all time!

Posted by Melissa on 26th Sep 2015

As a student who eventually progressed to an instructor, I have found this manual to be invaluable through the years. There is nothing comparable to it. Every instructor and student should have one. Each time I recommend it to a new student (no matter the level), they wish that they had known about it years ago, as it would have made things so much easier.

  4. An outstanding asset to any riding program

Posted by Patricia Jenson, Buffalo, Minnesota. Patjenson-horseadventures.com on 18th Mar 2014

In the 1960's one of my students went off to a
Ranch Camp for the summer and came back and showed me the horsemanship manual for CHA. I was so impressed with the manual that my daughter and I who ran Minnesota's oldest most vewrsatile riding school, decided to go to California to a certification clinic. We both got certified and I was asked to be on the CHA board which I accepted and served for 10 years. I made many good friendships among them Bill Wiley one of the founders of CHA. When we discussed a name change for the organization I suggested Certified Horse Activities so we wouldn't have to Change the longstanding CHA label. I held several CHA clinics at my facility and certified many teachers. Dody Stacey, a former president was a favorite clinic instructor. I even wrote a theme song for "CHA" which we sang at National Conferences. Though I haven't been active in CHA for a few years due to Cancer and economic
downterm I still recommend CHA and the composite manual to many of my horsemanship students.
