Barn Manager/Riding Instructor in Georgia: Equestrian Services, LLC has been retained by The Ford Plantation to establish standards and procedures for their Equestrian Club, to customize our intensive Operations Manual to their facility, obtain facility certification from the Certified Horsemanship Association and the Audubon Lifestyles Sustainable Equestrian Facility Program and to place a new Barn Manager/Riding Instructor. We will also be providing assistance on training all staff to our standards which include hospitality training overlaid. Candidate must be certified. Must love people as much as horses and possess a welcoming attitude to all riding disciplines. Ability to teach and train in a variety of riding disciplines would be a great bonus. Enjoy working with children and adults. Possess ability to manage staff and interact with other department heads of Club. Compensation package will include a bi-weekly base salary of $2,500.00 per pay period – so potentially about 60K annually. There is no housing currently – but there is affordable housing in the area. Position includes health and dental coverage, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), a year-end management bonus and participation in the Club’s 401K program, again subject to the approved policies of the Club. EQUESTRIAN DIRECTOR / ASSISTANT CAMP DIRECTOR – TRUSSVILLE, AL
Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama seeks an experienced Equestrian Director with administrative and leadership capabilities to run its busy, year-round Equestrian Center and assist in all aspects of camp operation. Position is based at Camp Coleman, near Birmingham, AL. Applicant must be a self-motivated, professional CHA certified riding instructor (level II or above; English and western) with at least 3 years experience teaching small and large group lessons for riders of varying abilities. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, detail oriented team player with a positive, highly communicative style and a proven track record for innovative program development and customer satisfaction. The perfect candidate will have demonstrated success in administration, program planning, budget management, recruitment, and staff and volunteer management. S/he will have demonstrated ability to maximize outcomes while utilizing limited resources. S/he will be expected to develop a realistic business plan for the Equestrian Center to maximize utilization of the program and achieve capacity enrollment. Full Time Barn Manager - Brightwood Ranch Brightwood Ranch is located near Edmonton Alberta Canada and is a summer youth camp for underprivileged kids and youth. From the fall to spring we host men and youth in drug and alcohol rehab programs. Camp Augusta is a residential summer camp located in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California. Our equestrian program is small, 10 horses. We teach predominantly Western riding with a small amount of English and offer both trail rides and basic arena work. We are hiring an Assistant Equestrian Director to assist in running our program.
