Barn Manager/Riding Instructor in Georgia: Equestrian Services, LLC has been retained by The Ford Plantation to establish standards and procedures for their Equestrian Club, to customize our intensive Operations Manual to their facility, obtain facility certification from the Certified Horsemanship Association and the Audubon Lifestyles Sustainable Equestrian Facility Program and to place a new Barn Manager/Riding Instructor. We will also be providing assistance on training all staff to our standards which include hospitality training overlaid. Candidate must be certified. Must love people as much as horses and possess a welcoming attitude to all riding disciplines. Ability to teach and train in a variety of riding disciplines would be a great bonus. Enjoy working with children and adults. Possess ability to manage staff and interact with other department heads of Club. Compensation package will include a bi-weekly base salary of $2,500.00 per pay period – so potentially about 60K annually. There is no housing currently – but there is affordable housing in the area. Position includes health and dental coverage, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), a year-end management bonus and participation in the Club’s 401K program, again subject to the approved policies of the Club. General Duties: responsible for the care and feeding of the horses, behavior management/retraining, arrange for hoof trimming, responsible for the upkeep of the barn and horse area, including maintenance of area and equipment, responsible for the upkeep and purchase of tack, responsible for the purchase of horses, overseeing the development and teaching of the summer horse programs, responsible for the management of summer staff and volunteers, responsible for any work to be done on trails, fencing, and pasture, to be involved in the Hope Mission rehab programs - trail rides, work projects, sessions, hanging out, participate in the yearly Ride-a-thon fundraiser, to help with grounds maintenance.
